Mary J.Blige Talks Rihanna and Chris Brown on Vibe Mag

Rihanna and Chris Brown’s relationship ain’t nobody’s business and Mary J. is definitely not here to judge.

She’s covering Vibe Magazine’s February/March issue, which also celebrates their 20th Anniversary, and inside she praises Rihanna for not only making good music but living her life and being happy no matter what others may think. In her cover story, Mary also candidly dishes on the times that she feels the most beautiful, the evolution of her style  and if there have been moments when she’s felt like she’s wavered off course.

What a sad way to end the day. We are still in shock about the news reaching us that Nigerian singer Goldie Harvey is dead. Details of her death are still sketchy but media reports say she passed on last night at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos in the arms of her close friend, Denrele.

Goldie had just returned to Nigeria from the U.S where she attended the Grammy Awards with her record label, Kennis Music boss, Kenny Ogungbe. Kenny St. Best, an artiste also under Kennis Music confirmed the news.

She said “It’s true. I still can’t believe it. I’m still in shock.”

Her death is so sad and sudden and comes as a deep shock to me.

New Video: Rihanna- Stay

After giving us a mellow, emotional performance at the Grammys for her single “Stay,” Rihanna releases the modest video for the piano-heavy emo track off of her Unapologetic album. We already know that RiRi has no problem showing some skin and to prove it she went with a more simple concept for “Stay.”  While she’s soaking in her feelings in a bathtub and thinking about what could have been, Mikky Ekko, who duets with Rihanna on the track, makes an appearance in the visual while giving the male’s perspective.

Lil Kim & Tiffany "New York" Pollard Hit the Runway for the Reality of Fashion

This past weekend, Lil Kim in all of her Queen B glory was spotted looking fierce as she walked in The Reality of Fashion, Reality Of AIDS first annual runway show in New York City. The event, hosted by America’s Next Top Model contestant Kim Stolz, featured a laundry list of reality stars who graced the runway in the hottest trends for this season designed by Dominque Auxilly.

Tiffany “New York” Pollard, one of the most successful reality show stars in VH1 history, was also spotted gracing the runway for the event.  It’s unclear of what she is up to now, but New York received her claim to fame during the first two seasons of “Flavor Of Love” and went on to star in two seasons of her own spinoff, “I Love New York”, a season of “New York Goes To Hollywood” and a season of “New York Goes To Work.”

Few things we need to know about Beyonce in Vogue Mag

There are a lot of things that we still don’t know about Beyonce.

Although she’s very personable, kind and likeable, she guards her personal life with all her might.  She has only shown her daughter’s face by choice one time through a series of photos on Tumblr when Blue Ivy was just one month old, and she hasn’t walked a red carpet with her husband Jay-z in ages.  She’s very much in control of the way she is perceived by pre-approving questions before interviews, being selective of the outlets she chooses to interview with and filming every single sit-down interview with her very own personal camera. [She says it's for archiving purposes but it's a sure way to make sure that she isn't misquoted. Ever.]

In knowing all of this, it’s hard not to wonder, “Who is the real Beyonce?” From the outside looking in, she has every thing a 31-year-old could want. An amazing career, a husband, a daughter, a close-knit family, great friends…her world seems perfect.  But Beyonce’s world isn’t perfect. In the last three years alone, she’s suffered a miscarriage, her dad fathered a child out of wedlock and her parents divorced.  She also fired her father after Live Nation alleged that he was stealing money from her and he responded by filing a lawsuit.  That behind the scenes drama is enough to break the average person but Beyonce’s still standing. Meanwhile, she’s never talked about it and it’s hard to determine if she ever will.

Just in time for her new HBO Documentary which will air on February 16th, her new Vogue cover story has hit shelves and inside, she’s giving a bit more of herself as she talks about the day she gave birth to Blue Ivy.  She also admits to reading stories about herself online while avoiding the comment section, reveals that she wants to take time off to enjoy life’s moments with her baby, and expresses that she now understands why her father conducted business in the notorious manner that he did.

This Dog with An" Eerily Human Face"Needs A home

Tonik, the now-famous dog with a face that looks like a human, is up for adoption at a shelter in Indiana after he was rescued from a kill shelter in Kentucky. Gawker was the first to point out the fact that the “eerily humanoid poodle/Shih Tzu mix” had a “human face,” and now the little pup and his face have gone viral. According to the site, the “two-year-old person-faced pup” is vetted, groomed and ready for adoption by a loving family from the Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Group in Mashawaka, Indiana. But if you want to take little Tonik home, you have to physically pick him up at the shelter due to the group’s policy against shipping or transporting their canines. And with the publicity this dog is getting, it shouldn’t too hard for him to find someone to take him in as their own.

UPDATE: Chris Brown’s Lawyer Calls Service Allegations “Horsesh*t”

Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, speaks out against allegations that Chris Brown’s community service hours are fabricated. Geragos, not mincing his words called the allegations, “horse sh*t”:

“The D.A’s office has apparently lost their minds and apparently they can’t read their own reports which clearly state he did the work. They are making scurrilous, libelous and defamatory claims against my client. They should be embarrassed. t is all so stupid. They  [Los Angeles D.A’s office] have indicated they will do anything to stop him from completing his court orders. The reason I say that they have lost their minds is that if a defense lawyer used these arguments that would be accused of being paranoid and schizophrenic. To believe them is to believe that six separate officers are in a conspiracy theory to help Chris Brown. They need to read their own interviews; they all saw him doing the work. The whole thing is horsesh*t. It’s really beneath their dignity.

I’m going to address it all in court tomorrow (Wednesday) and show how foolish they are

Chris Brown has the best lawyer, and he needs one since he has become a target. Hopefully the truth will prevail.

You can’t help but be proud of actress Kerry Washington.  She’s come so far since her role in the 2001 dance flick, “Save The Last Dance” and she continues to be a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood, all while being a positive role model.

Madonna Beat Beyonce In Super Bowl Halftime Ratings

Beyonce had some bad news come out yesterday. Not only were there several reports that she caused the power to go out at the Superdome twice during her rehearsals last week, now comes news that some how Madonna beat her in the halftime ratings. I'm actually shocked by that. I feel like everyone in the world is talking about Beyonce's performance way more than Madonna's was discussed last year. Second, the Super Bowl this weekend set a record for most watched television show in US history. The ratings don't lie though and Beyonce got 104M viewers and Madonna got 112.5M. That is almost a ten percent bump for Madonna in a show that was rated lower.
